Filo Betto was created by Chris Lewis in 2018 in Delaware and is the stage name he uses when performing his music solo or with a band. Recent influences are Nathaniel Rateliff, Hozier, Lake Street Dive and Brittany Howard, older influences include King’s x, The Beatles and The Eagles. Chris’ vocal style and ability instantly catches your ear and turns your head forward and the songs take you the rest of the way! His latest album Life by a Thousand Cuts hits on a few genres including Pop-Rock, Blues Rock, Pop, Alt-Rock and Rock-Soul, a little something for everybody.
Chris has been involved with music and song writing for over 25 years perfecting his passion and purpose with many different projects around the Tri-State area with the most significant being when his band Kategory 5 won the WMGK house competition for 2016-17 that lead to opening for Joan Jett and Boston at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, NJ. This led to some amazing shows at Live Nation venue in Wilmington DE, Parx Casino in PA and The Milton Theatre in DE for a string of sold-out shows.
Chris left the day-to-day grind of work in 2015 to make original music full time. Since then, he has released two albums under the Filo Betto name, working with record producer Ritchie Rubini on the letest album Life by a Thousand Cuts which was released on November 17th, 2021! Songwriting, recording and performing these songs is now the driving force and outlet for his creativity and connecting with music lovers and sharing the music is the endless pursuit. Filo Betto, and Chris Lewis are looking forward to playing and promoting the album in full force in 2022!
